Ad Hoc committee meeting minutes of June 3rd, 2026

 The meeting commenced at 7pm

Members present were: Chair Micaela Bogi, Trustee Miles, Jay Hemdal, Kathy Coppens, Rachel Ewing, and Planning Commission Liaison Travis Horkey.

The ad hoc committee spoke on data center ordinances and how the crafting of those related to the present revision of the Dundee Master Plan. Discussion of a survey for residents of the township, similar to that of the village master plan survey. Would we be able to hold a cooperative townhall with the township and the village in order to further gather information and opinions from residences regarding the master plan? What kind of questions would we like to see on a survey of this nature?

We discussed the events of the previous planning commission meeting and how best to prepare for the next one. The adhoc committee will begin building a cooperative list of concerns to present to the planning committee regarding the creation of data center ordinances.

The ad hoc committee reflected on the concerns of the area’s karst geological makeup and how an industrial project of this size would handle contamination in a karst area.

We discussed having a complete list of these concerns made by the next meeting as well as gathering more source material from other surrounding townships for further guidance.

The meeting concluded at 9:10pm
